T-Pol's Meditation Afghan

This is the Afghan I came up with, it should help with any meditation. On Vulcan, there are nights that the northen winds bring cool temperatures to the central meridians of the planet. That is where I live and it will be a welcomed and functional accessory and piece of clothing when I do my meditations during the cold months.

Below you can see the detail of the stitch, there are some imperfections, but that's on purpose as nothing is perfect in the Universe. Thanks for stopping by my blog and come back again.

T-Pols Afghan WIP Mar-Apr06

T-Pols afghan, inspired by the wisdom from Surak the pacifist, and tamed by the himan hands. When I move to the souther Islands of Bajor this afghan will be handy for those mild nights when there is the possibility of a cold nite.

The prophets wll be pleased at the end result, I love the color and I am really looking forward to finishing the project within a month. This will be for me. My charity work will re-start in May 06 with more afghans for charity.

So here is almost gone, the month of march that is. I finished the front of a sweater.

It will be a very nice sweater when it is done.

I am also working on T-Pols Afghan. This will be for my personal use, I am hoping to create a very nice look and texture. There are five steps to the afghan Thanks for stopping by and come back soon. You never know what I will be up to, but certainly it will be more than one project.

Step one is a basic square as you can see.

Square two you start to make four leaves around the square

Step three you leaves done

Step Four you finish the squares and blocking them toward the assemblying in the future, this Afghan is made to be a square afghan, 3 by 3 or 4 by 4.

Happy Saint Pattys

I believe you caught me testing my whipped cream from the spatula. Don't worry I don't double dip, it was to clean the bowl lol.

Happy Saint Patrick's.
I am here sharing with you my CornedBeef and Cabbage meal. Yes Puertorricans eat corned beef, but we make it different. Here I went with the Irish style, a potato, green cabbage and spices.

But I did not have enough . I made a great cheese cake with caramel flavor (shhhh!!! sugar free ) with green stevia flavored whipped cream.

I had 8 oz of beer, not green lol, but it was enough.

I thought the cheesecake came out great. I don't use flour for a crust, but ground nuts, usually filberts or almonds.

Thanks for allowing me to share my meal with you. Come back again, I will have more to show you.

Spice 135 Scarf for a friend

Here is the scarf finished, blocked, pressed, I will regain some of it's texture with a little bit of time. Actually it has the texture I wanted it to have. There is a pattern, but you have to actually feel the scarf to feel the pattern, or be very close to the person wearing it, LOL. As I mentioned before it is made with Lion Brand Wool-Ease Chunky yarn Spice 135. This material is particularly nice is 80% acrylic and 20% wool. This in reality gives it a lot of flexibility. It is 48 inches long and the fring on each side is about 6. It is soft to the touch.

It is one of a kind, and like http://celticknitter.blogspot.com/ said on a comment, is a funky scarf. I was able to knit it in less than a week thanks to the grace of the Gods of Medicine.

Thanks for stopping by and allowing me to share my craft with you.

Works in Progress Mar 06

Here I am sharing with you the worksin progress that I have during this month.

I have the 63 Easy Squares project going on , see the squares piling up. You will notice the pink and teal skeins that comprise of a new project to be started within a week or so. The pattern is one that Scott gave me as a present. I have changed some of the colors, but I am sure that it will come out really beautiful.

I am also working on this knitted scarf which is my own design. I have about 4 hours of work. Once it is done, I will block and press it and it will be ready to be shipped, sometime in early April.
I am using Wool Ease Chunky, from http://cache.lionbrand.com/yarns/wooleaseChunky.html, Spice 135, It will have a length of 48 ", not counting the fringe. It takes two skeins to make this scarf. Whenever I amke things I make sure that if they don't like the outcome, I can resell it without problems, or even keep it for myself. LOL

Thanks for stopping by, and allowing me to share my craft.

Nebulae a wonder in Space 2006

Sometimes when I look at pictures like this one, the Cat's eye Nebula, I get fascinated at the beauty of the Universe. Often I wonder how many worlds out there support life and have the ability to travel through space. Maybe one day we will find out, sooner that we think. that we are not alone at all

I found this picture and wanted to share it with all of you as I continue working on my crochet and kniting projects. Thanks for stopping by.

To Achieve is not to be Arrogant

I want to share with you some of my story. Each of us has a tale to tell, this is part of my life for me to share. After spending two years in college and living at home with my mother. I decided that I wanted to join the military in the Health Services Department. The experience was great. This are my buddies and we depended on each other, Shapiro, Posner, Henshaw, Hooper, Riley, and Mendez I belive was the other hispanic guy. We were a team and we made it through, standing tall and looking good, we ought to be in holliwood. Pictures were not allowed at this time, but we sneaked a camera, I sneaked a camera LOL.

Being arrogant is something that does not work in the military as you are constantly watched and scrutinized. It is your responsability to let your supervisor know that you qualify for a promotion. I did such thin and by the time I was 1.5 years in the military I became s Specialist 5th Class or my equivalent later in the Navy as Petty Officer 2 nd Class. So forgive me for being proud about myself and my accomplishments.

Here below you will find two Medals among the ones that I got at peacetime, I also got the good conduct medal. I had my Overseas Ribbon, Sharp Shooter, Grenade Marksman and qualified with a 45. Medics have to know how to defend their patients and themselves if the need comes.

So excuse me for being such a self accomplished individual who has a great self-esteem.

I enjoyed sharing part of a great past with you. Why did n't I continue, I wanted to go back home and finish my schooling. I graduated from the University in Puerto Rico after coming from the ARMY. My Diploma at the end of this blog entry. I am very proud of myself and my accomplishments. I am not better than anyone on this planet , nor am I worst, I consider myself an equal to everyone. Some of us are smarter in different areas, some of us are craftier, but no one is better than anyone. To hear someone say that I am an arrogant person , because I take care of myself the best I can, and I am proud of the hard earned self-respect and accomplishments, makes me very upset. It shows something though, if they have spent that much time with me and feel that way, they truly do not know who I am. The fact is that I am removing myself from that atmosphere of incongruent thoughts and mindset and I will return to Kobol my home. Thanks for listening and allow me to share my life with you.
