Merry Christmas and Happy 2013

My goodness, I forgot about my blog, ha ha ha.  No I have not forgotten about blogging.  I am in a big positive transition and busier than a bee in a beehive.   I am going to share my Christmas Day with you and later one I will tell you a bit about my other plans, but not today.  Today is about presents and enjoying one of the most fun Christmas ever.  I was extremely good.

The Holidays have always been a gift of the Gods if I may say so.  I enjoy the lights and the festive atmosphere that is brought by gift giving.  Long time ago I decided to buy gifts for myself, wrap them and put them under the tree.  I celebrate Christmas my way , even if I am not a Christian anymore.  This frees me from a lot from my childhood and ethnic upbringing. The gifts always include geeky stuff and lots of Dark Chocolate.
 Xmas2012 (24)
Peppermint Dark Chocolate Bark his favorite.

A Crafty Andy Market Bag, no one should be without one or two.

 Xmas2012 (33)
This is a new Knit Picks Greener dye set.  I will have the opportunity to have some dye fun in the New Year.
Xmas2012 (43)
These are the BSG double tanks from Anovos , plus an old Navy set of Sweat Pants that I attached the Galactica Patch to it.
Xmas2012 (40)
ChiaoGoo small set of needles.  I love the cord, not too crazy about the needles, but in the end is a great set to have.

Last picture with the double tank , dog tags and my teddy bear pattern to be released in 2013.  There are more gifts, but have nothing to do with Christmas, just with being nice to myself, having the cash and getting ready for a busy 2013-2014 years.  I wish everyone a Happy New Year and a Prosperous , healthy 2013.  SO DAY WE ALL!

MFKR 2012 Part 2

I am not going to bleed the MFKR 2012, there is going to be part 3 lol. This is a gret venue to go every year, is a good vacation and you meet so many talented people, is amazing. This year I had the opportunity to make it to the 5th one in a row. I will never forget the first one at Poiint Bonita, what fun we had.

MFKR5Years
I can tell you that this is a wonderful place to be and to meet so many men with such talent is a great honor. There were two other guys who also joined the 5 Year club of attending the MFKR. I received this beautiful token of appreciation from Wonder Mike and by Proxy the MFKR. It is some wonderful lace yarn and a bag made by Nathan Grisham, his bags are fantastic, made in the USA and can be found at http://www.etsy.com/shop/Knit1Eat1 , from project bags to Messenger bags. Go and check him out.

Every Year Skacel Knitting is behind us with gifts and back packs. Here were the guys from the Contest and some of the guys that went to Skacel, there are more than this few. Skacel2012

This is part of my Crochet Basics for Knitters. The class was a success. Everyone learned from basic slip stitch, chain, single crochet, double crochet, treble crochet. Everyone got an A+. TeachingCrochet2012 The picture below is taken by me. I believe the picture above was taken by Wonder Mike or Franklin Habit. MFKR2012BasicCrochetClass050 (1) Every year we have a fun Kilt Night with Show and tell. Here is a pictures, it is not a Kilt Night only. We being the men we are, just decided to have some kind of special event with kilts, sarongs or any unbifurcated fabric you want to wear. Slacks are acceptable, shorts are acceptable, nothing serious just some fun for the guys.
KiltNight (2)
Among the show and tell was my crochet hat, my weaved scarf and the socks I am wearing, oh and the "Daniel" hat , a pattern normally for sale Here, which I donated to the retreat binder for the guys to enjoy as well. Yep there is part 3 from this blog and lots of more fun in the works. Thanks for stopping by!

Stitches West 2012

AnzulaFiberCorriedale (1) Stitches West 2012 is still going. I went through public transportation from San Francisco to Santa Clara, it is longer than driving, but fun. I was looking for things for my Survival Pod Partner in one of my groups. I was also looking for fiber to spin to make some yarn for new Teddy Bears. I am creating my own Pattern, because I want a Teddy Bear that Can Sit without problems and that has some shaping to the feet. I want to make it on the round and make it easy to be stuffed. I want it to have nice ears, but stay tuned, It is coming out in a few weeks.

This was my outfit today and it brought me a lot of compliments and questions about where I was from. A lot of people thought this was some ethnic wear. I told them I was from the old USA and that it is just how I dress. I don't mind calling people's attention, but you have to be prepared for any kinds of questions.

This is another fiber , natural that I want to spin to make a teed for my new Teddy Bears. metalyarnguide This is something I have not seen before and someone mentioned it to me, I got two , one for me and one for my swap partner. I want to see how it works and see if I like it more than the plastic one from clover. LoloBar
These balms are fantastic for your hands. This bar I got is whole body type. Plain Jane has no fragrance, I got one with a hint of Lavender. KnitifactsCotswold This is another fiber I want to make into a tweed with the one above. This is the first clippings from the baby lamb, the staple is shorter but should be soft.
