Our Small Universe

Can you imagine this is how some planets compare to our planet. As you can see Pluto is very small in size, Venus is the closest in size to Earth.

Now compare Earth to this other giants of our solar system.

Now compare all those planets to our Sun.

Now Comapre our Sun to other Suns

Now those suns to other suns. We are such a small solar system in this vast Universe. Somewhere out there , life is flowing like it is on Earth.

I found this somewhere and wanted to share it with you. Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow I will have more pictures of my NightShirt.

Batting Down The Hatches!

Computer Start Recordimg

Stardate 05202006.2250

Lt. Ydan as science office commenting.

For some unspoken reason Ion Storms do not get a name, while storms on the surface like huracanes get a name.

In a solar system, the composition of the solar wind is identical to the Sun's corona: 73% ionized hydrogen and 25% ionized helium with the remainder as trace impurities. These components are present as a plasma, consisting of about 95% singly ionized hydrogen, 4% doubly ionized helium, and less than 0.5% other ions (often called minor ions).
The storms may take longer it will depend on the stregth of the solar winds.

The Commander has ordered everyone to condition Blue, which in a station is suppose to deal with phenomena like this. Needless there is always danger, a storm is a storm wether ionic or atmospheric. We are all in some kind of battle readiness, but dealing with a storm as well.

Comunications will be down for a day or so, we will have a standard class A beacon on stand by, just in case we have to abandon the station due to hull integrity issues. Dax and I will probably spend a lot of time at Quark's playing Dabo and maybe having some drinks as well.

Computer Transmit Blue Alert in all alien frequencies and channels, standard bajoran lower alert amplitude signal; "Deep Space Nine Station is in Condition Blue, Ionic Storm through B'hava'el system , no docking facilities for the at least 52 hours, Alert, Condition Blue on Deep Space Nine Station until further notice, No Docking facilities!" Computer continuous transmition of message now, transmit signal to warning buoys around the system. Science Officer authorization Gamma Phi Zeta, Ydan 11.

Nebulae a wonder in Space 2006

Sometimes when I look at pictures like this one, the Cat's eye Nebula, I get fascinated at the beauty of the Universe. Often I wonder how many worlds out there support life and have the ability to travel through space. Maybe one day we will find out, sooner that we think. that we are not alone at all

I found this picture and wanted to share it with all of you as I continue working on my crochet and kniting projects. Thanks for stopping by.
