One Caprican Sock Done

Here is the end product of my first sock. I have to tell you that the more I knit , the more I learn about knitting and about how I knit. As I experienced decreases of two kinds, I leanred that not all decreases are the same lol. When you are doing an SSk if you slip the stitches as if to Knit, you get a beautiful decrease line. If you just slip them purlwise and knit through the back loop the decrease does not look as nice. If you are making just one decrease it makes no real difference, but when there is a sequence like in a sock, it makes a big difference.

The instep is shaped nice, it can be a bit tight , but it actually hugs the foot. It gives you and arch for foot support.

All in all this sock Pattern Oliver, is a great piece of work and I am hoping to make more socks with this pattern. I am hoping to master this pattern and have some brand new socks while joining the RavelOlympics. Sock number two will be started later on today, it will be very useful for my Monday Night Knit Group.Thanks for stopping by.

This is the hat for that vest and I may have enough yarn to make some mittens, we shall see. Triton's Crown is the Sea Urchin Hat pattern from Ravelry. Priest of Pythia Ceremonial Scarf

I am so happy with the end result of this garterlac scarf. The yarn is by Skacel and the Pattern by one of Skacel's Employees which was kind enough to procure for the MFKR 2008 group this yarn and taught us how to make it.

The scarf is so beautiful I thought I will give it a special name. I saw in Battlestar Galactica a Priestess that would have looked lovely with this scarf on, in my case it will be a Priest lol! This scarf is beautiful and the pictures do not make it justice. It is being blocked at this moment where the wind chimes are. I am so tempted to leave as a hanging piece of art, because it is extremely artsy looking. The designer and the yarn make this scarf stunning to look at.

Here is a bit of a close up of the scarf, but even with the best close up the scarf can not be appreciated as in person. Yet it is here to share with you, this is a project that I was able to complete due to a great group I belong to on Ravelry. Going Back to the Pegasus

Personal Log the 6th day of the month of Juno Wife of almighty Zeus,close to 1300 hours, colonial time, It is time to go home and in my way home I have a new gift to myself, I call it the Tattoo of Life, it has a life of the Colonials’ Theme to it and the Lords Of Kobols are smilling. May we have a joyful journey in the river of life. Even when I have a joyous appearance my heart is a bit heavy, but nothing to it, everything good and bad does not last in life, the trick is to go forward and make life happen no mattter the circumstances. Taking responsability for one’s own destiny is the gift of the Gods. My life is full and I spring forth life in everything I touch, life is ever changing and we shall flow with it, the Gods are smilling indeed as we cpontinue our daily life journey, sometimes is a struggle , sometimes is smooth sailing, in the end everything in life is a success even deafeat is a success. May the Lords Of Kobol be with us all, So say we all.

Lords Of Kobol hear my prayer

I have been on vacation for a few days and I have been blessed with a glimpse of the understanding of life and a moment of clarity is what is needed. This tattoo is in representation of the Galactica Series and my gift to myself commemorating my entrance into the 50th Year of my life when next year will be culminating by the end of April 2010. I am blessed because I have embraced life to the fullest and I am not afraid to live or to die. I am living in the now which is all we have.In the past day or so my experience with death, not mine , but of my niece's fiance. has been a bit hard. Life is so brief and we waste so much time trying to find the meaning of life instead of living it. He needed to find myself, here is Angel with his daughter the day before his departure to the world of spirit. He went before his time and fast, he did not even know what happened. It breaks my heart such waste of life because of being careless, but I won't judge him, he will do that himself when he goes in front of the gods to evaluate his life. For those of you that don't know it, I am a seer. I see spirit and when we went to where the accident was there he was, standing by his body not knowing what happened. He was in Limbo, that sometimes happens when people die unexpectedly. Don't worry he is protected and will be guided toward the light in time, we are the ones left in pain, for him there is no more pain or suffering, may he find what he was looking for. You are loved !

That day I had a great time kayaking with them and my niece at the Bioluminescent Lagoon at Cabezas de San Juan in Fajardo Puerto Rico. I shall remember that day as such. This was such fun, I recommend it to everyone that is in shape or at least is half in shape. It can be a rough ride believe me, it is not for the weak. The currents can be string and it is hard on your body. There is no death only the transformation of matter.
