You have the option of following the written instructions or using the charts for this pattern. You will always have 43 stitches, keep that in mind. If you substitute the yarn, you must make a swatch and blocked it. This yarn is 70% wool and 30 %Linen. This yarn is from a felted family of yarns. The linen here is visible, and creates a striated look that will knit into a tweedy marled fabric. Like all linen blends, this strong fiber will get softer with use. It does have a nice drape. This yarn when blocked keeps it’s shape, and does not shrink. The pattern repeats are 10 sts, so you can make it wider or with less repeats.
I have taken a lot of care to personally test the instructions and the charts and found it to be free of mistakes. I was assisted in the design and creation of these charts by Intwined Studio Software. If you find a mistake, feel free to contact me.
Thanks for your patronage and feel free to email me if you have any questions. Enjoy!
