Another year at Starfleet Headquarters celebrating Halloween. Lots of good mannered goblins, some not so good mannered. The majority of the kids said thank you, it is always a pleasure to have good candy and be part of the community. Until next year. Thanks for stopping by!

Purple Mittens

Purple Mittens by Crafty Andy

Here is a bit more of the mittens I am working on. This is my own pattern and will think about publishing it some day. What I can tell you is that you need to know how to make fingerless gloves to make these gloves. It becomes intuitive once you decide on what to do. This is the right hand mitten. The left Hand mitten is already with ribbing and the thumb gusset has begun. I am hoping to finish the pair before Halloween! Thanks for stopping by.

Purple Tweed Hat

PSCInPurpleTweed (7)
This is actually a Tam-Beret that I modified as a hat.   There is going to be a pair of fingerless mitts, No is not Mitt Romney, just some more purple mitts to blend with my two purple hats.

We should never forget how to make things we our hands and basic instruments. This doily is starched, and is pinned down to dry. I am very busy, and will try to post on a weekly basis , there is still lots to do .Thanks for stopping by.

Crochet At Quark's

Yep I am at Quark's.  I am crocheting a Toilet Paper Cozy, but not any kind of cozy, it is Tapestry Crochet and in more than two colors.

There is more crochet happening , I am making a very nice Pineapple Lace Doily.  These can be so much fun.  When you realize it you are done.  The pattern has some mistakes, but not misleading mistakes, just needs a bit of correction.

I am also going to start on my lace project which I am showing you the materials below.  I made a sample which is the last picture and I have made gauge.
Evenstar
The picture below shows the sample that is to be made from the pattern above.  The pattern has some increases and decreases and some very interesting and intriguing stitches.  A very peculiar thing is that I saw the same kind of stitch manipulations in crochet the other day.  I am ready to start this baby at any moment this week.  I got gauge, so I will be suing US 3 Chiagoo lace knitting needles.  I want to try a different brand of Lace needles.  So far I like the cables they have.  I will see how to make lifelines and I have gotten some unwaxed dental floss to help me in this journey. Thanks for stopping by!
